LOCAL ATTRACTIONS

Fort Three Forks Motel is located in beautiful Three Forks Montana. Here the Gallatin, Jefferson, and Madison Rivers converge to form the mighty Missouri. Just 30 miles west of Bozeman on I-90, Three Forks is rich in history, wildlife, and scenic beauty.

* Hunters will enjoy the native game including elk, deer, antelope, and moose.
* Fishermen will be overwhelmed by the amount of blue-ribbon trout fishing habitat.
* Sightseers will enjoy the natural wonders of the Missouri Headwaters State Park, as well as the many other acttractions near Three Forks including the Lewis and Clark Caverns, Virginia City, Nevada, and the Madison Buffalo Jump State Monument.

The early travels and adventures of Lewis and Clark, lead by Sacajawea, brings a colorful history to this small Gallatin Valley community. Three Forks was a crossroads of Native American Indian tribes. This brought on fierce bloody battles between the Flatheads and the Crows. Even John Colter narrowly escaped death on the bluffs just north of town.
